Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has denied receiving any letter demanding a retraction of her harassment allegations.

She insisted no communication was made to her by Akpabio’s lawyer, Olisa Agbakoba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Akpoti-Uduaghan made the statement while responding to media reports of a second legal letter.

She accused Akpabio’s legal team of trying to silence her through intimidation and threats.

According to reports, Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL) represents Senate President Godswill Akpabio in the ongoing controversy.

Agbakoba had reportedly issued a second letter to the senator, asking her to withdraw the sexual harassment claims.

In the letter, the lawyer allegedly pointed out contradictions in the senator’s allegations against the Senate President.

He reportedly questioned the accuracy of the events, particularly regarding the timeline mentioned by the senator.

The first letter was dated April 14, 2024, and demanded evidence supporting her claims.

Agbakoba claimed the accusations were made in February 2025 without proper documentation or corroboration.

He queried why the senator praised Akpabio online the day after the alleged incident occurred.

The lawyer also questioned why those social media posts were later deleted without any explanation.

The second letter maintained pressure on the senator to clarify her position publicly.

It cited continued public appearances by the senator with Akpabio after the alleged incident.

A key example was their attendance at the Inter-Parliamentary Union session in Geneva, held in March 2024.

They were reportedly photographed together during the global event, further raising questions from Akpabio’s camp.

However, Akpoti-Uduaghan has firmly rejected the demands, saying she stands by her original allegations.

She described the lawyer’s letters as desperate attempts to silence her voice.

The senator said she has not received any document from Agbakoba, despite public claims.

She vowed not to retract any part of her sexual harassment allegations against the Senate President.

Akpoti-Uduaghan stressed that her statements are consistent and remain valid.

The case has continued to spark controversy in political and legal circles across Nigeria.

Many observers have raised questions about timing, motive, and the handling of the matter by both camps.

The incident originally gained attention when Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Akpabio of sexual harassment.

Her subsequent suspension from Senate proceedings has further fueled public interest in the issue.

Critics argue the suspension may be linked to her allegations and the uproar that followed.

Observers also believe the case highlights the challenges women face in Nigerian politics.

The matter has drawn comments from gender rights advocates and legal analysts nationwide.

So far, the Senate has not officially addressed the recent exchange of letters between both parties.

Akpoti-Uduaghan maintains that no intimidation will force her to remain silent on the issue.

Her supporters say they will continue to demand accountability and fairness from Senate leadership.

As the drama unfolds, Nigerians await clarity from all involved parties.
