South Sudan’s national basketball team made history yesterday, defeating Puerto Rico 90-79 in their Olympic debut.

This marks the first time an African team has won a basketball game against a non-African opponent in the Olympics.

The South Sudanese team, led by their determined coach and talented young players, dominated the final half of the game, outscoring Puerto Rico by 11 points.

The crowd erupted in cheers as the team celebrated their monumental victory.

This win is only the second for an African country at the Olympics since 1996, making it a groundbreaking moment for the continent’s basketball community.

South Sudan’s triumph is a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication, and resilience.

Despite being the youngest nation in the Olympics, they have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.
