Sporting head coach ready for Premier League move

Published

In the past, the football player turned coach from Portugal, Ruben Amorim, has been leading Sporting since 2020 and in the 2020/21 season, for the first time, guided the team to a championship after a nineteen-year hiatus.

His remarkable achievements with the Portuguese club have not gone unnoticed by Premier League clubs. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, many teams are keen on signing the Portuguese specialist during the summer transfer window.

There could be changes in the coaching staff of many Premier League clubs.

Jurgen Klopp announced his departure from Liverpool himself. Many associate Brighton’s head coach Roberto De Zerbi with a move to Barcelona, while Manchester United and Chelsea might change coaches due to the teams’ somewhat disappointing results.

In Amorim’s current contract with Sporting, there is a €30 million release clause, but for many clubs, this amount may not be a hindrance.

At the moment, it is known that Liverpool, Brighton, and, according to reports, several other Premier League clubs have shown interest in Ruben Amorim. There was also information about interest from Barcelona.
