Suspected Miscreants Attack Lagos Taskforce, Set Railway Corridor Ablaze

(DDM) – Chaos broke out at the Fagba Railway Corridor in Lagos on Thursday after suspected miscreants attacked officials of the Lagos State Taskforce and set parts of the railway infrastructure on fire.

The incident reportedly occurred during an enforcement operation aimed at clearing illegal activities and restoring order in the area.

Eyewitnesses said the suspects, believed to be street urchins, resisted arrest and launched an attack on the taskforce officials.

In the process, they allegedly set sections of the railway corridor ablaze in an attempt to create confusion and evade capture.

The situation quickly escalated, leading to panic among residents and commuters in the vicinity.

Authorities were said to have deployed additional security personnel to contain the unrest and prevent further damage.

Officials confirmed that the enforcement team came under heavy resistance during the operation.

The Lagos State Taskforce has been carrying out routine exercises to tackle illegal trading, encroachment, and criminal activities across the city.

Such operations have occasionally been met with opposition from individuals affected by the crackdown.
