The ugliest things Trump and Musk just said about one another

What started as a political disagreement has turned into an all-out personal war between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

The tension exploded during President Trump’s meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Thursday, when reporters asked Trump about Musk’s criticisms of his latest agenda bill.

Trump downplayed the issue initially.

“He hasn’t said anything about me that’s bad,” Trump claimed. “I’d rather have him criticize me than the bill.”

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) can confirm that Musk quickly fired back on his social media platform X, launching a string of sarcastic and scathing remarks that soon got deeply personal.

Trump, never one to stay silent, responded through Truth Social with equally biting counterattacks.

By the end of the day, their fragile political partnership had turned into a full-blown public feud.

Musk even endorsed a post calling for Trump’s impeachment, replying with a blunt “Yes” to a user who claimed Musk was now the better leader.

This apparent betrayal stunned Trump supporters and shocked Washington observers.

It also marked the complete breakdown of what many had already dubbed a volatile “alliance of convenience.”

Trump had previously praised Musk as a visionary and an ally against Democratic policies, but Musk’s recent turn suggests he’s no longer playing along.

In one of the most biting posts of the day, Musk mocked Trump’s record on national debt, reposting Trump’s old tweets on fiscal conservatism.

“Where is the man who wrote these words?” Musk asked. “Was he replaced by a body double!?”

That one line sparked thousands of shares and gave fuel to Musk’s loyal followers, many of whom had already begun drifting away from Trump’s base.

Trump’s reaction was swift.

According to sources close to the former president, he sees Musk’s challenge as a personal betrayal and a threat to his influence ahead of the 2026 midterms.

On Truth Social, Trump called Musk “an egomaniac who owes his success to government handouts and Chinese batteries.”

He also accused Musk of “delusions of grandeur” and being “just another Biden tech crony in disguise.”

Musk hit back instantly, sarcastically thanking Trump for the “free marketing” and calling Truth Social “a digital nursing home.”

The feud quickly became the top trending topic on both X and Truth Social, with supporters of both men launching into digital trench warfare.

Observers say this was inevitable.

Their relationship was always awkward, two billionaire egos aligned only by temporary political interests, not mutual respect.

When Trump began courting Musk last year, it was seen as an attempt to boost his appeal with tech-savvy voters and libertarian-leaning independents.

Musk, in turn, appeared to be leveraging Trump’s populist base to fight regulatory pressure from Washington.

But as the partnership frayed, personal barbs took over.

Now, neither man seems interested in making peace.

Their clash is already being compared to previous Republican power struggles, but with an unprecedented digital twist.

Political strategists warn that this kind of feud could fracture the conservative coalition just as the 2026 campaign season heats up.

With Trump focused on his legislative legacy and Musk eyeing a future in political kingmaking, or perhaps even more, it’s clear both men are thinking long-term.

Yet for now, what’s left is an ugly, unfiltered, and highly public meltdown between two of the most powerful voices on the American right.

And judging by the way things are going, this feud is just getting started.
