Writing, Fani-Kayode recalled that “last year on the day that Bola Tinubu was appointed Chairman of the APC Reconciliation Committee, he lost his son.
“3 days ago, on the day that he was appointed Chairman of Buhari’s Campaign Council, he slumped, collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he remains till today.”
He, meanwhile, urged ‘every Nigerian and particularly the Yoruba to pray for him that God should preserve and protect him and make him understand His ways.’
The former Aviation Minister, however, faced a barrage of criticism as some persons claimed that the incident never happened.
Reacting in a short memo he delivered on Friday, he insisted that the story is impeccable.
He stated: “I stand by my story on Bola Tinubu. He left hospital on 9th January.
“I am happy he is out of the trauma but before anyone says I was lying they should tell us where he was on the day of the flagging off of the Lagos state campaign.
“That was the first time he missed it in 20 years!”
