Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has taken a major step toward supporting the next generation of artists with the launch of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, an initiative aimed at nurturing and empowering young musical talents across Nigeria.

The foundation was officially unveiled at a special event attended by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who showed support for the project and its vision of strengthening the country’s creative industry.

Through the foundation, Tiwa Savage plans to create opportunities for aspiring musicians by providing mentorship, education, and access to global music platforms. A key highlight of the initiative is its partnership with the prestigious Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s leading institutions for contemporary music education.

As part of the collaboration, the foundation will host a four-day music development program designed to discover promising young talents from across Nigeria. The program will focus on helping participants sharpen their skills while gaining exposure to professional training in songwriting, music production, performance, and music business.

The initiative is expected to bring together experienced mentors, music educators, and industry professionals who will guide participants through workshops, masterclasses, and interactive sessions. The goal is to provide emerging artists with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive global music landscape.

Tiwa Savage explained that the foundation reflects her long-standing desire to give back to the industry that helped shape her career. Having built an internationally recognized career in Afrobeats, she said she hopes to help young talents access opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.

Supporters of the project say the initiative could play an important role in strengthening Nigeria’s music ecosystem by bridging the gap between raw talent and professional training.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who attended the launch, praised the initiative and highlighted the importance of investing in creative industries as a driver of economic growth and cultural influence for the state and the country as a whole.
