According to an official statement from the Nigerian Army, the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to abandon their base. As the terrorists fled, the troops pursued them relentlessly, neutralizing 21 combatants. Some insurgents reportedly drowned in a nearby river while attempting to escape, further weakening their ranks.

Additionally, the troops recovered a substantial arsenal of weapons and equipment. Among the seized items were rifles, explosives, magazines, communication devices, mobile phones, and motorcycles. This successful operation highlights the military’s unwavering resolve to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace to the region.

The Nigerian Army has promised to release further details soon and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding citizens. Authorities have also urged the public to continue supporting military efforts by providing timely intelligence.
