Thomas Tuchel is set to become the new England manager after agreeing to terms with the FA.

The former Chelsea and Bayern coach was high on Manchester United’s shortlist since June, but they’ve decided to stick with Erik ten Hag.

This development means Lee Carsley will be leaving his role as England’s interim manager, Diaspora Digital Media gathered.

The appointment of Tuchel is an exciting news for England fans, considering his impressive track record.

He’s a Champions League winner, a Bundesliga champion, and a treble-winner in France.

Tuchel’s fact-file

Thomas Tuchel is a highly acclaimed German football manager and former player, renowned for his tactical expertise and innovative approach to the game.

Born in Krumbach, Bavaria, Tuchel’s passion for football was nurtured from a young age, with his father, Rudolf, coaching him at local club TSV Krumbach.

As a player, Tuchel’s career was cut short due to a knee cartilage injury at just 25 years old.

However, this setback paved the way for his transition into coaching.

He began his coaching journey in 2000 as a youth coach at VfB Stuttgart, where he played a pivotal role in developing future stars like Mario Gómez and Holger Badstuber.

Tuchel’s managerial career has been marked by success and controversy.

He led Mainz 05 to a fifth-placed finish in the Bundesliga and qualified for the Europa League.

His subsequent stint at Borussia Dortmund yielded a DFB-Pokal victory, but was also marred by disagreements with the club’s hierarchy.

In 2018, Tuchel joined Paris Saint-Germain, where he secured two league titles, including a domestic quadruple in his second season.

He is regarded as one of the best coaches in the world, known for his tactical expertise and innovative approach to the game.
