Yahaya Bello, Kogi State governor, according to reports from Lokoja, has deposed the Ohimege Igu of Kotonkarfe, two other first class chiefs, while also appointing a new Ohinoyi of Ebira land.
As also learnt, the governor also appointed the Maigari of Lokoja.
In the said sweeping shakeup, the governor was reported to have dissolved State Executive Council, and also appointed Caretaker chairmen for 21 LG councils.
DDM has tried getting details of the unfolding story but was not successful. Onogwu Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the governor was not forthcoming when contacted, saying that he is busy and cant make any response.
The online newspapers enquiries through back channels in Lokoja also points to these shakeup as authentic.
