UPDATE

In a stream of confusion, Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina, who was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] was heard on radio today [Tuesday] morning accusing the EFCC of being entangled in the pension fraud scheme.

Mr. Maina, while speaking on a radio talk-show reality programme “Brekete Family”, tried to engage the EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren in a telephone conference but Mr. Uwujaren declined, while asserting that the case is already in court, called Maina a fugitive.

Mr. Maina was uninhibited in disclosing the all security agencies, especially the EFCC, are involved in the colossal pension fraud, a claim he maintained he will back up with documents as soon as he is invited to court.

Callers and observers in the radio programmed wondered why the EFCC has never bothered to arrest or declare Maina wanted until he went on air with his accusations.

When asked why he has been going bellow the radar to avoid detection, Mr Maina claimed that he had been shot three times at close range by assailants who had wanted him silent at all costs, hence his survival instincts.
