A man, Uchechukwu Nweke, has shot his wife, Patricia Nweke, and himself following some unresolved quarrel on Thursday.
The incidence took place in Amanuke Community, Anambra North Local Government of Anambra State.
The highly aggravated man also set the family house on fire resulting in the death of another person, his son, Obinna Nweke.
Eyewitnesses suggested that the incident revolved around adultery as the woman was seen lying stark naked in her pool of blood in the street.
One eyewitnesses said the woman was fleeing for her life when the man shot her dead.
A report by the Anambra State Police said that “one Uchechukwu Nweke ‘m’ aged 65 years shot his wife Patricia Nweke ‘f’ aged 55 years with a single barrel gun”.
He “also burnt his house along with his son named Obinna Nweke aged 29 years in a circumstances yet to be ascertained.
“Suspect equally shot himself using the same gun.”
Police detectives attached to Achalla police station visited the scene and rushed victims to Uche hospital Isuanocha for medical attention where all the three victims were certified dead by a medical doctor on arrival.
Corpses of the victims were deposited at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
