Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has weighed in on the ongoing conversations surrounding Nnamdi Kanu, while also calling out nightlife personality Cubana Chief Priest over his political position.
In a statement circulating online, VDM argued that former President Muhammadu Buhari was responsible for Kanu’s arrest, not President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as some narratives suggest.
He also referenced past comments made by Cubana Chief Priest, who had earlier advocated for Kanu’s release and warned of political consequences in the South if it did not happen.
According to VDM, the socialite’s later support for Tinubu’s “City Boy” movement made him question the sincerity of those earlier statements.
“I thought he was serious until he started supporting Tinubu… I can never take him serious,” he said.
VDM further expressed skepticism about the possibility of Kanu’s release, stating that it may only happen through divine intervention.
His remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with users debating political loyalty, consistency, and the broader issues surrounding Kanu’s detention and Nigeria’s political climate.
