Victor Umeh Attacks Chidoka Over Obiano’s Bogus Airport Budget

Former chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA], Chief Victor Umeh has lashed out on an Anambra State governorship aspirant under the umbrella of the United Peoples party [UPP], Chief Osita Chidoka.

Chief Umeh launched an attack on Osita Chidoka over some statements credited to him concerning the bogus airport budget by the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano.

In a press release, the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Chidoka said in quote: “Ethiopia is building three airports that will cost 68 million USD.  

“Anambra State is building the Umueri airport with 2 billion USD. 

“Before the Chinese come and put us to debt, go and tell the Anambra State government not to commit the children of Anambra State to a 2 billion USD debt.” – Osita Chidoka at Basilica of St Andrews Anglican Diocese on the Niger, Onitsha, (17 June, 2017).” End of quote

Chief Victor Umeh reacted and maligned Chidoka without reservation when he dished out the measured insult through his SSA, Harrison Madubueze.

He wrote in quote:

“Hear me… Gov. Willie Obiano is not building airport but Airport City; Osita Chidoka should get that correctly before brandishing nonsense to the press.”

In essence Sir Victor Umeh is saying that Chidoka brandishes nonsense to the press.

His thoughtless comments comment failed to take into cognizance that Chidoka served as Aviation minister and has enough clot and authority to say things that are factual about Airports in Nigeria.

That, or course, includes the phantom mirage that we advertised for Umueri .

Governor Obiano has, in the recent past, executed project with so much money and hype but started collapsing as soon the projects were commissioned.

One such example are the three flyovers located at Amawbia, Kwata and Aroma  in Awka, the state capital.

This monument was contracted to the tune of 3 billion buy suddenly there was a variation for same job and it was jerked to 15 Billion Naira.

However, it took 3 months for the flyover to start cracking and sinking, and as we speak, the government has raised Barriers that stops vehicles from using the same 15 billion Naira monument of Dangote Cement.

So if we should put that in focus on this airport that we will borrow 2 billion Dollars from Chinese Cooks and Gardeners posing as investors, then we are certain that any plane that carried more than 500kg and land on that airport may start earthquake or gulley erosion will simply start on the spot .

So challenging a Former Aviation Minister on aviation matter is something that can be done by anybody who has lost senses of everything.

Secondly, the government should quickly throw more light on the deal to the public.
