Victor Umeh went to court to benefit from own rigging – APC

We do not agree with Umeh’s claim that he went to court against Ekwunife’s rigging in order to fight impunity because Umeh is equally guilty of the impunity she accused Ekwunife of.

Ekwunife vs Umeh

We agree with Chief Victor Umeh’s assessment of the change in paradigm as far as the involvement of security agencies in elections since the inception of an APC -controlled Federal Government.

“Today, we have a government that is averse to impunity and cutting corners. Today things have really changed for good. Today we don’t have a Nigerian First Lady who would stay in Abuja and threaten the businesses of Anambra people if they fail to vote for the PDP’s Umeh was quoted as saying.

This is manifestly true!

But we do not agree with Umeh’s claim that he went to court against Ekwunife’s rigging in order to fight impunity because Umeh is equally guilty of the impunity she accused Ekwunife of, though in different segments of the election.

Abuse of security operatives in deployment and neutrality as PDP is guilty of is not the only known electoral vice in the Nigerian polity, particularly in Anambra State, the South East and the South South zones.

Actions which clearly offend the electoral Act, which Umeh is guilty of, include bribing voters at the polling units, planting APGA.

Supervisory Presiding Officers who influenced the swapping of card readers ASSIGNED FOR THE election which ensured that the machines did not work as they are polling unit sensitive.

The other vices which Umeh and APGA engaged in, before superior riggers that they took to court thwarted their game were the use of fake PVC cards and the missed strategy of intimidating and influencing electoral officers to change the accreditation mode specified in the Electoral Act and INEC manual.

Hence rather than the Assistant Presiding Officer examining  the cards on a card-by-card basis, most of them called names out like roles, making it easy for those mobilized to the polls for the purpose to answer to names that were not theirs.

It was Chief Umeh and APGA that recorded the highest incidence of swapping officially trained and employed NYSC members and other with students of two institutions of higher learning in Anambra State that were briefed and held hostage in a camp for three days before the election.

All these actions perverted the elections, which gave Victor Umeh a false sense of victory at the polling unit level, until a superior ,militarized rigging by the Jonathanic forces  ensured that there was no collation in the wards and local governments, hence fraudulently swinging the outcome of a subsisting fraud from Umeh.

Therefore, going to court was to BE DECALRED WINNER after dismantling the superior military rigging was Umeh’s objective, but the wisdom and knowledge of the justices of the Court of Appeal and the God of Etiti Anambra led to a better verdict for the people.

It is a periscope into the character of Chief Victor Umeh that he who backed Jonathan in the presidential election, sued Buhari and committed other atrocities, many illegal to see a favourable outcome to Jonathan in order to spill over to him, could not fathom that a counter plan founded on the same illegality could upstage his own.

It is also a tragedy of immense proportions that since according to Umeh the security agencies were moved to work for Jonathan, and he canvassed support for the ex-president, an apology becomes inevitable because Umeh was partly responsible for the fire that consumed his ambition, and misleading of many in Anambra State.

We foresee a similar trend in the unlikely event of Umeh being elected as senator where he would be a turn-coat, hardly ready to accept responsibility for his errors in judgment.

Once again we are constrained to remind Chief Umeh that the Senate is an epitome of democracy where view in quality and number is superior to blackmail and grand standing.

Once again we urge Ndi Etiti Anambra   to vote     for APC in the forthcoming election because the history of having one abrasive, impressionable APGA senator is less attractive to their political objectives than the history of reinforcing the majority with a Senator with pedigree and potential to consolidate the achievements of Senator Chris Ngige in order to give an address to the wind of CHANGE in their constituency.
