VIDEO: El-Rufai Unveils ADC Platform to Supporters in Kaduna

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai received a rousing welcome in Chikun Local Government Area on Wednesday as hundreds of supporters and admirers thronged the streets to greet him.
El-Rufai, waving the African Democratic Congress (ADC) flag, drove through Kujama town in a convoy surrounded by an excited crowd that ran alongside his vehicle.
Sharing the moment on his X handle, he wrote:
“KADUNA UPDATE: Earlier today at Kujama, Chikun Local Government. Alhamdulillah. Overwhelmed by the warmth and acceptance of the ADC!”
The former governor recently left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after accusing the APC of lacking internal democracy.
He is also a key figure in the opposition coalition that has adopted the ADC as its political platform.
In a related political development, Tiamiyu Abidikugu, a grassroots politician and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Ibadan South East Local Government of Oyo State, defected to the ADC along with his supporters on Tuesday.
Abidikugu cited persistent issues of poor internal democracy, lack of transparency, and absence of discipline in the PDP at both state and national levels as his reason for leaving.
The latest defections signal growing momentum for the ADC ahead of the next election cycle, with political watchers closely monitoring how these shifts will reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.
