Published

on

In a shocking twist, Vinicius Jr.’s inner circle is convinced that the Real Madrid forward won’t take home the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, despite being a top contender.

According to sources, there’s a growing sense of doubt in the Madrid camp, with many believing that Vinicius Jr. will fall short.

By implication, Vinicius, fellow contender Jude Bellingham and the Real Madrid management team will snub the event.

*The Competition Heats Up

Vinicius Jr. was up against stiff competition, with Jude Bellingham and Rodri also in the running for the top prize.

Bellingham, in particular, has had an impressive year, notching 23 goals in 42 games for Real Madrid and winning the Golden Boy award.

Rodri of Manchester City is now the favourite for the coveted award.

*The Ceremony Tonight

The Ballon d’Or ceremony takes place tonight, with other awards up for grabs, including the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper and the Kopa Trophy for best player under 21.
