Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says he thinks about President Bola Tinubu’s re-election every day, expressing confidence that the 2027 election will be easier for Tinubu than the 2023 poll.

Wike spoke on Monday during town hall meetings with the Rumueme and Apara kingdoms in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The former Rivers State governor said he was committed to supporting Tinubu’s second-term bid and urged Rivers residents to vote massively for the president in 2027.

“Each day I sleep, I am thinking about the president’s re-election. When I am eating, I think about the president’s re-election. Everything I am doing now is about the president’s re-election,” Wike said.

He urged Rivers residents to set aside political sentiments and support Tinubu, citing development projects and the appointment of Rivers indigenes into key positions under the current administration.

“Let us forget sentiment and vote for the person who has recognised the people of Rivers State with dividends of democracy and with several appointments,” he said.

Wike said he believed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 would be easier than his 2023 campaign.

“I know the re-election of Tinubu in 2027 will be easier than that of 2023. We should appreciate Tinubu and ensure he gets a massive number of votes. We can do it,” he said.

He added that the Tinubu administration had brought developments to Rivers State while appointing indigenes of the state to strategic positions.
