Jordan Wike, son of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday submitted his American passport before the FCT High Court in Abuja in a case involving an alleged $2.1 million land transaction.
The case was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited, who alleged that Jordan received $2.1 million in cash to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares of land in Katampe and Guzape, Abuja.
Jordan has denied receiving the money or having any knowledge of the alleged transaction.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji had ordered him to produce his American passport after he told the court on Monday that he was outside Nigeria on 26 September 2025, when the claimants alleged the money was handed to him.
The claimants alleged that they met Jordan in London and later engaged him to facilitate the land acquisition for a $2.1 million fee.
They further alleged that Jordan told them $2 million was meant for his father, the FCT minister, while $100,000 was for him.
According to the claimants, the money was delivered in cash on 26 September 2025 in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki, Sai Wani and Onor Sandy, who allegedly accompanied Jordan.
They claimed Jordan later became unreachable and that they discovered the land was owned by another company preparing to develop it.
The claimants said they demanded a refund on 31 October 2025 after the alleged transaction failed but received no positive response.
During Monday’s proceedings, Jordan, through his lawyer, Ogwu Onoja, SAN, adopted his statement on oath and maintained his innocence during cross-examination.
The claimants’ lawyer, Hamza Dantani, had also asked Jordan to write his full name and signature five times each on plain paper. The court granted the request after the defence raised no objection.
The matter was adjourned until Wednesday, when Jordan produced his American passport as ordered by the court.
