Yahaya Bello: EFCC goes after Abuja school that accepted $845k advance school fees

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has moved against the American International School in Abuja, which accepted the $845,ooo advance school fees.

The school fees were made by the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, on behalf of his children.

EFCC claimed that Yahaya Bello made the withdrawals hastily as part of his last minute heist of the state patrimony.

The anti-graft agency had earlier written to the school requesting a refund of the money that Yahaya Bello paid.

In response, the school sent a letter to the EFCC, asking the agency to provide an account where the money would be refunded.
