You Shamed Islam, Mahdi Tells Suspended NSIPA Boss

Published

on

Mahdi Shehu, stand alone critic from the North, has leveled a smack down on Halima Shehu, suspended national coordinator, National Social Investment Program Agency, NSIPA, after revelations from her ongoing probe by Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, over N34 billion public funds was disappeared by her into private accounts of her relatives.

The critic queries her Islamic up-bringins.

“N34 billion has so far been traced and blocked in six different banks in the name of Halima Shehu and her

relations.

“Where are all the Quranic injunctions and teachings of the prophet of Islam against stealing and breach of trust” asked a bemused Mahdi on his X handle.

Her interrogation by EFCC led to another revelation that another N3 billion of the said fund was taken by Betta Edu, suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, who, also, is under probe by anti graft agency.

Mahdi, of late, has been a somewhat firebrand critic on matters bordering on corruption rarely spearing individuals from his natal region. He was on recording upbraiding the North for opting for same faith ticket in the last election.
