Two commissioners under the administration of governor Alex Otti of Abia State have resigned from their positions.
The commissioners are the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Chima Oriaku and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof Monica Ironkwe.
The circumstances surrounding their surprise exit are shrouded in secrecy.
Though, some sources are saying that they were fired or asked to resign, while others said they resigned from their positions voluntarily.
While reacting over their exit, spokesman of the governor, Njoku Ukoha, said, “The two Commissioners resigned from the cabinet. No one was sacked. Disregard the trending rumours.”
