The coast appears to be politically clear for Mr Valentine Ozigbo as over 42 Support Groups have formally endorsed him as the right man to fly the flag of Labour Party in the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

The endorsement was done by the leaders and members of 46 diverse Obidient Support Groups, including the influential Big 6.

In a statement made available to Newsband Newspaper on Thursday, and jointly signed by the leaders of the groups, they declared that the Obidient Support Groups after conducting thorough evaluation of the administration of the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo, he was found wanting in several aspects of leadership and service delivery in Anambra State.

According to the Support Groups, Valentine Ozigbo stands out as a beacon of hope for Anambra.

The Support Groups highlighted Ozigbo’s remarkable achievements, including his tenure as the President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, where he led transformative projects and garnered international recognition.

They added that his campaign for a better and brighter Anambra has already inspired a wide breadth of Anambra, and that they believe he is the right leader to steer Anambra State towards a prosperous future.

The statement reads, “United in purpose, we, the leaders and members of 46 diverse Obidient Support Groups, including the influential Big 6 – Peter Obi Support Network, Women for Peter Obi, Take Back Naija, Nigeria Needs Peter Obi, and Coalition For Peter Obi, stand firm in our endorsement of Valentine Ozigbo for the upcoming Anambra 2025 gubernatorial election.
