Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has prophesied that either Peter Obi or Rotimi Amaechi may emerge as the vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 general elections.
The cleric made this revelation in his latest prophecy about Nigeria’s political future, saying divine insight revealed that both politicians have crucial roles to play in the coming election.
According to Ayodele, the next political cycle will bring unexpected alliances and realignments that will reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.
He added that the ADC would rise as a strong opposition force ahead of the 2027 presidential poll.
“I see new alliances forming, and I see the ADC becoming a major platform of attraction,” Ayodele declared.
“Either Peter Obi or Rotimi Amaechi will be considered for a vice-presidential role under the party.
Nigerians should pray because the coming election will shock many.”
The prophecy comes amid ongoing opposition coalition talks led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who recently resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku is believed to be the driving force behind the new alliance that adopted the ADC as its political platform to challenge President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Both Obi and Amaechi attended the unveiling of the ADC as the coalition party.
While Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, has yet to leave his party officially, Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation, has reportedly joined the ADC after dumping the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Political observers say the ADC’s presidential ticket may go to Atiku Abubakar, with Obi or Amaechi emerging as the likely vice-presidential pick.
The coalition aims to unite Nigeria’s fragmented opposition under a single structure capable of ending Tinubu’s rule.
In the 2023 election, Obi contested under the Labour Party and came third, while Amaechi sought the APC presidential ticket but lost to Tinubu during the primaries.
Both have since expressed their readiness to contest again in 2027.
Ayodele’s prophecy adds spiritual weight to the growing political speculation about the ADC’s potential lineup.
The cleric, known for his accurate predictions about Nigerian politics, urged citizens to stay prayerful, warning that the next election season would be “full of surprises.”
With rising defections and shifting alliances, Nigeria’s opposition landscape appears to be heating up faster than expected.
