Federal High court Judge, Adeniyi Ademola has expressed readiness to take the Department of State Services (DSS) up in a lawsuit.
In an earlier report, Elombah.com had reported how Justice Ademola petitioned the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of National Judicial Council [NJC], Hon. Justice Mahmud Mohammed over unlawful invasion of his residence by DSS operatives.
In this latest report, he narrated his ordeal in a 35-page petition to Hon. Justice Mohammed.
Justice Ademola gave a blow by blow account on how he was invaded by DSS, intimidated, harassed, properties destroyed in his house, et al.
He also disclosed that he was arrested by because of the following three reasons proffered by a DSS official:
1. Petition of Hon. Jenkins Duvie dated 4th of April 2016 to NJC,
2. Granting bail to Col. Sambo Dasuki and the unconditional release of the leader of the independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, and,
3. Using his office to secure his wife’s appointment as the head of civil service state through Senator Bola Tinubu.
Justice Ademola, furthermore, claimed that the invasion and his subsequent arrest is more or less a “vendetta/revenge from the Attorney General of the Federation [AGF], Abubakar Mallami [SAN]”
According to the judge, Mallami “was involved in a professional misconduct” which necessitated his arrest and detention by his order.
Ademola wrote: “Consequently, NJC referred Mallami to the NBA disciplinary committee for disciplinary action.
“It was as a result of this he was denied the rank of SAN by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee for the period of four years until he produced a fake letter of apology, purportedly addressed to me.
“It was then he was conferred with the rank.
“Since the above incident Abubakar Mallami has threatened to revenge and swore to do anything to bring me down.”
