Award-winning Nigerian Canadian filmmaker, Pascal Atuma, celebrates his birthday by reflecting on the prolonged suffering in Nigeria.

Despite the country’s abundant human and natural resources, Atuma expressed dismay at the widespread hardships faced by its people.

“Life is extremely excruciating for Nigerians, he said, adding that he intends his birthday celebration to reflect the mood.

He criticized the current state of affairs, attributing it to poor leadership and harsh government policies. Atuma highlighted issues such as hunger, economic challenges, and the devaluation of the currency, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to alleviate the suffering of Nigerian citizens.

Atuma urged government officials to address pressing issues like inflation, food scarcity, and price control, stressing that the current situation is causing immense hardship beyond comprehension.

He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the welfare of citizens to ensure a stable and prosperous society.

While grateful for another year of life, Atuma called for moderation in celebrations, considering the dire circumstances faced by many Nigerians.

He implored the government to take concrete actions to tackle the country’s challenges instead of merely paying lip service to the people’s struggles.

Atuma warned that Nigeria is rapidly deteriorating and urged immediate intervention to prevent further decline.
