As boxing fans across the globe are gearing up for the long anticipated heavyweight bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua this year, boxing analysts have continued to debate on the boxing potency of the two heavyweight champions.

Fury who is the present WBC champion after defeating Deontay Wilder has expressed readiness to confront Anthony Joshua, British-Nigerian born boxer who is the present champion of WBA IBF, WBO, and IBO
Tyson Fury is a two-time world heavyweight champion, having held the WBC, the Ring magazine and lineal titles since defeating Deontay Wilder in February 2020.
He held the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, after defeating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015. With his defeat of Wilder, Fury became the third heavyweight, after Floyd Patterson and Muhammad Ali, to hold The Ring magazine title twice.
As of December 2020, Fury is ranked as the world’s best active heavyweight by ESPN
However, Anthony Joshua British-Nigerian professional boxer is a two-time unified world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles since December 2019, and previously between 2016 and June 2019.
At regional level, he held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016.
Joshua suffered his first professional defeat in the hands of Andy Ruiz who was little known in the heavyweight circle.
Although, Joshua in a rematch between the Andy Ruiz Jr. for the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight world titles on December 7, 2019 at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al-Turaif, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia defeated him via unanimous decision to reclaim his tittles.
