The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Anambra State governorship election held over the weekend inconclusive.
The decision by INEC to declared the governorship election inconclusive arises from the inability of the electoral umpire to conduct the election in some areas over failure of the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines.
The machines, News.band reported, malfunctioned and scuttling the election process at several locations in the state.
According to the Anambra State Commissioner for Information & Public Enlightenment, C. Don Adinuba, the supplementary gubernatorial election in Ihiala will now hold on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
