*Nullifies election in 18 LGs*
The Akwa Ibom State Tribunal sitting in Abuja, the federal Capital Territory has ruled that the petition presented by the All Progressives Congress [APC] candidate, Umana Umana on the state 2015 governorship election is succeessful in part.
The Tribunal, thereby, nullifies elections in 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
It could be recalled that Mr. Udom Emmanuel of the Peoples Democratic Party [[PDP] defeated the petitioner My Umana Umana in the election held on April 11.
Tribunal calls for Re-run in some Polling Units in 18LGAs of the State. But has not nullified the victory of Gov. Udom Emmanuel.
Calls for re-run in Etinan, Nsit Ubium, Ibiono, Uyo, Uruan, Ibesikpo, Nsit Atai, Eket, Onna, Ibeno, Oron, Udung Uko, Oruk Anam, EtimEkpo, Ikono, Ini.
Udom remains the Governor while INEC prepares for the election in 90 days.
