Talented Kwara athletes ready to dominate youth Squash meet in Ibadan

With the game of squash making a return to the Olympics ahead Paris 2024 even though as a demonstration non-competitively, Nigeria’s Kwara, a north central state, is determined to produce elite athletes in the game going by a ongoing by JGM Residential Maintenance National Squash Championship.

The championship is sanctioned by the Professional Squash Association and Kwara as at Saturday appears to be ready to sweep all the stakes.

Earlier reports the state’s young Squash players dominated all the Finals in the ongoing championship.

These are Under 16 Boys and Girls and Under 19 Boys and Girls respectively.

Earlier in the day,  Nigeria’s number one ranked player in Under 16 category, Shuaib Giwa (kwara) was scheduled to play Nigeria’s number two Ranked Player Matthew Yusuf of Lagos

Also in Under 16 Girls category the Nigeria number one Ranked player Haisat Abdulraheem (Kwara) will Battle with Zainab Ishola of Lagos who is Nigeria number two ranked player.

Similarly in Under 19 Girls category Nigeria number one ranked player Khadijat Abdulraheem ( Kwara) will Battle with Hawau Balogun (Ogun ) in the final match.

Under 19 Boys Semi final
Shuaib Giwa (kwara) will challenge Dominion Otupe of (Lagos) to clinch the final slot of Under 19 Boys.
