After cross dresser conviction, anti graft agency to arraign Nigeria’s top hotelier over naira abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is planning to take legal action against Mr. Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, for allegedly mishandling the Nigerian currency, the Naira, at an event.

He is accused of spraying and tampering with N500 notes issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria during social events in Lagos on multiple occasions.

The EFCC has filed a charge sheet against him, and he is expected to appear before a Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday. The charges are based on the Central Bank Act of 2007, which prohibits the abuse of the Nigerian currency.

This action against Cubana Chief Priest follows the recent sentencing of another public figure, Bobrisky, to a six-month jail term for a similar offense.
