Egypt has edged out South Africa in the hosting right of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
News of the hosting right was broken by the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad in Dakar on Tuesday.
According to Ahmad, Egypt will now host the championship which will come up between June 15 and July 13.
The North African country edged out South Africa after Cameroon was dropped.
CAF executive committee had expressed concerns over security and preparation delays by Cameroon.
