On Monday, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) sealed off an Abuja-based Chinese store located at the China General Chamber of Commerce.

Following a visit on Monday, the supermarket was closed by FCCPC inspectors.

Following their questioning of the Nigerian employees of the supermarket, representatives of the commission locked up the area.

Nigerians on social media expressed concern on Sunday over a Chinese supermarket’s discriminatory policy, which prohibited access for anyone other than its citizens and excluded Nigerians.
