The NDC presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has urged Nigerians to become actively involved in politics ahead of the 2027 general elections, warning that the country's future is at stake if citizens continue to remain silent. Speaking at the Knights of St John International in Awka, Anambra State, Obi insisted that politics affects everyone, regardless of whether they hold government positions. He encouraged Nigerians to participate actively in the electoral process, urging citizens to become polling agents and take responsibility for protecting their votes. Obi also questioned the APC-led Federal Government's priorities, asking why ₦1 trillion could not be allocated to building 10,000 primary healthcare centres if the government had reportedly saved ₦15 trillion. He further challenged Nigerians to demand accountability from political leaders rather than simply celebrating or taking photographs with them. He cited his experience at Oxford University, where students reportedly prioritised questioning visiting politicians about governance over taking photographs with them. \#PeterObi #NDC #PeterObi2027 #2027Elections #NigerianPolitics #PoliticalParticipation #PollingAgents #TakeBackNigeria #GoodGovernance #Accountability #PrimaryHealthcare #HealthcareInNigeria #TinubuGovernment #Awka #AnambraState #NigeriaNews #DDMTV
