Terrorists release 35 kidnap victims in Kaduna community

Thirty five residents kidnapped by Terrorists at the Millenium City settlement in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have been released.

It was learnt that the victims were received by the residents of the community on Friday.

It was further gathered that N2.5m each was paid as ransom before the 35 hostages could regain their freedom.

However, our correspondent gathered that a victim was still in the custody of the bandits simply because his family was yet to settle the demand of the bandits of purchasing two motorbikes for them.

According to an eyewitness, among the victims released are a medical doctor and fifteen others hostages taken away by the bandits last month.

The leader of the Civilian Joint Task Force of the community, Uwasu Yunusa, who confirmed the released of the kidnapped victims, was silent on wether ransom was paid or not.
