Gunmen on Monday night, assassinated an official of the Labour Party identified as Mrs Victoria Chintex in Kaura area of Kaduna State.
Mrs Victoria was reportedly trailed to her home and shot dead while her husband, who narrowly escaped the attack sustained gunshots injuries.
Edward Simon Buju, the publicity secretary of the party confirmed the incident.
Mr Buju while briefing newsmen on Tuesday described the deceased as an industrious, hardworking and dedicated woman who died at a time the party and the country needed her most.
