The Federal Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, is set to blow 3.7 billion Naira on some alleged phantom “research and development”, a whistleblower, who calls himself “99% OPPRESSED”, has revealed.
The whistleblower made the revelation on his X, formerly twitter, handle, @PIDOMNIGERIA, over the weekend.
The allegation
The whistleblower, who wondered how the bullshit passed through the National Assembly and President Bola Tinubu, tweeted:
“Ministry of Art, Culture and creative Economy budgeted 3.7 billion naira for research and development and the bullshit passed through the National Assembly and Tinubu assented to it.
“Yet they claimed Nigeria is broke.
“How on earth will that ministry spend 3.7 billion naira for research in 2024.
“What culture are they researching about?” he asked.
The sinister plot
However, according to 99% OPPRESSED, Musawa’s plot seems to be sinister as she allegedly has ulterior motives.
He revealed that the Art, Culture and Creative Economy Minister has embarked on construction projects.
The whistleblower also accused Musawa of corruption and nepotism.
He said she is “constructing roads and installing streetlights in her hometown (Musawa) Katsina state, and in (Bichi) Kano state, where her father grew up, and she currently have her relatives there”.
He added that “she corruptly included all those projects in her ministry’s 2024 budget, when her ministry is not the ministry of works.
“Yet she is constructing roads and installing streetlights. That is the height of Nepotism!
“Using Federal money to do project in her hometown and that of her relatives!!”
He enjoined Nigerians to travel to Katsina and Kano to confirm his claims.
In case they could not, he enjoined them to go through the Ministry of Art, Culture and Creative Economy’s budget for 2024.
There, he said, “they will see all my claims in the budget… 3.7 billion naira for cultural research!”
