Manchester City have been charged by the English Premier League for flouting financial fair play rules and reports suggest that there are multiple charges which could include possible points deduction.

This comes following a four-year investigation into sponsors and contracts.

A statement from the league said alleged breaches were committed across nine different seasons beginning in September of 2009-10 to 2017-18 and will now be referred to an independent commission.

During the stated period, Man City won the Premier League titles three times, one FA Cup and three Carabao Cups.
