Obidient Movement Not An Appendage Of Any Political Party, Says Obi

Mr Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has categorically declared that the Obidient Movement is not a directorate of any particular political party.

This clarification comes amidst confusion and claims by some individuals purporting to be leaders of the movement.

Obi, in his statement, emphasized that the Obidient Movement is a grassroots movement driven by Nigerians who share a common vision for a better country.

He reiterated that the movement is not affiliated with any political party and that any claims of leadership or representation by individuals are unfounded and not recognized by the broader Obidient Movement.

This clarification is seen as a response to recent claims by some individuals who have been parading themselves as leaders of the Obidient Movement, causing confusion among supporters and the general public.

Obi’s statement aims to set the record straight and reassure Nigerians that the movement remains a neutral and inclusive platform for citizens to engage in constructive dialogue and advocacy.

The Obidient Movement has gained significant traction since the 2023 presidential election, with many Nigerians identifying with its ideals of good governance, accountability, and citizen engagement. Peter Obi’s clarification has been widely welcomed by supporters and admirers of the movement, who see it as a reaffirmation of the movement’s core principles and values.

In his words, “The Obidient Movement is a symbol of hope and unity for Nigerians, and we must ensure that it remains a platform for all citizens, regardless of political affiliations or beliefs.”
