Mr Adeniyi Sanni, an aide to Senator Solomon Adeola, member representing APC Ogun West and chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, has been killed mysteriously in Lagos State today.
This medium gathered that Sanni was stopped at a checkpoint around Berger Area of Lagos on his way to his home at Isheri by security operatives.
The security officers reportedly requested for his car’s documents and he had to call his wife to send it through to him via his phone’s WhatsApp.
It was gathered that the wife called a while later and the late Sanni told him they were still checking the vehicle’s papers.
The apprehensive wife was said to have later called on Mr. Sanni’s associates to say she could no longer reach her husband on phone which immediately triggered the mobilization of a search party.
She was later called by passersby through the Next of Kin phone number on her husband’s driver’s licence that the body of Mr. Sanni was dumped around Toyota Bus Stop in Oshodi with gunshot wound.
Meanwhile, Senator Adeola who is shocked beyond words and devastated by the news of the unfortunate incident, said Mr. Sanni was his close aide for over two decades.
Police authorities have commenced investigation into the killing.
