UPDATE:
Hon. Justice Mohammed A. Madugu of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court 40 sitting in Bwari has acquited and discharged the national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Edozie Njoku, and the national youth leader, Mr. Chuks Nwoga, from all accusations of forgery brought on them by the faction of the former APGA Chairman, Chief Victor Ike Oye, for want of evidence thereof.
With this judgement, Chief Njoku’s traducers, including the former APGA Chairman, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, and all elected politicians under the faction led by Victor Oye are in trouble as their election stands to be declared illegal, null and void by the court.
Meanwhile, the committal to prison judgement against Oye and the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Yakubu Mahmood, will be delivered by Justice Madugu on December 14.
Recall that the judge had given the duo of Oye and Yakubu two weeks to purge themselves of the contempt of court charges proffered against them which they failed to do.
Presently, the court has no option left than to commit them to prison for contempt of court.
