Ondo Guber: DSS arrests suspected vote-buyer with bags of money

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested a suspected vote-buyer in the Ondo governorship election.

The suspect NewsBand understand was taken into custody with two bags of money which are suspected to be for the inducement of voters in the election.

He was apprehended at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007 outside St. Stephen’s Primary School, Akure, Ondo State around 9 am on election day.

The election started this Saturday morning, November 16, 2024, with heavy security presence consisting of personnel of the DSS, the police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) positioned at strategic points across the state.
