Ex-chairperson of PDP in US takes over from Simon Ekpa

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Joe Igbokwe has alleged that a former chairperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Atlanta, United States, Mrs Ngozi Orabueze has taken over the baton of leadership from the self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra Government in Exile, Simon Ekpa who was arrested last week for terror-related activities by the Finnish authorities.

According to Igbokwe, Ngozi who is a practicing nurse in the United States and Chief of Staff to Simon Ekpa, is holding forth in the absence of the rabble rouser agitator.

Chief Igbokwe disclosed this in a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.

He said, “Biafran Militia group led by Simon Ekpa has appointed former Chairperson of the Peoples Democratic Party Atlanta chapter Mrs Ngozi Orabueze to hold forth in Mazi Ekpa’s absence. Ngozi, a practising Nurse, is currently Chief of Staff in the Biafran Government in Exile.”

Moreover, Ngozi Orabueze was seen in a viral video on Wednesday, threatening to kill anybody in the South-East region wearing police, army, immigration and Civil Defense uniform.

Recall that NewsBand reported that the gang leader of the autopilot group (Ekpa) was taken into custody alongside four others on terror-related activities in Finland.

Mr Ekpa was remanded in prison by the district court of Päijät-Häme on suspicion of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.

Finland police in a statement said Ekpa was arrested “on suspicion of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent”, while four others were taken into custody “for financing a terrorist crime”.

“The detention demands are related to the preliminary investigation, in which a Finnish citizen of Nigerian background, born in the 1980s, is suspected of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.

“The police suspect that the man has promoted his efforts from Finland by means that have led to violence against civilians and authorities as well as other crimes in the region of South-Eastern Nigeria”, the statement reads.

Also, the head of the investigation, Crime Commissioner Otto Hiltunen from the Central Crime Police said that “Ekpa has orchestrated this activity, among other things, on his social media channels”.

“Four other persons are suspected of financing the aforementioned activity. All five suspects of the crime have been arrested during the beginning of the week.

“International cooperation has been carried out during the preliminary investigation,” the statement added
