The Political Wing of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), in a new year message, has announced the launch of a website and called for the people of old Eastern region of Nigeria to be pragmatic and join the moving train.
It also urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to release Nnamdi Kanu.
The group which pushes for political solution to Biafra question has since made it clear that Scotland’s pattern of independence is their target for Biafrans.
IPOB-Political Wing noted that the launch of it’s website is aimed to rally the people around and clearly make open the mission and vision of the organisation, while also engaging with those that want to make the mission possible.
The message reads, “First, we wish to thank the people of Biafra who are steadfast in making sure that our land survives the onslaught of kidnappers and unknown gunmen. Your voices and contributions are working, because it would have been worse if you all stayed passive.
“We have started this year with the news of how Nnamdi Kanu singlehandedly with his family politically negotiated with the president through his son, while we are not against it, its a deservice to our people. It’s taking undue advantage of our people. We instead urge Nnamdi Kanu and all IPOB members to fall in line with IPOB-PW, and become Senators and Reps. Become governors and shape the future of our region. IPOB-PW can achieve everything, with the support of everyone.
“We will not stop or back down from the fight to cleanse our land of evil, and we strongly believe IPOB-PW is a worthy alternative for those who want Biafra independence. We can always get what we desire through politics.
“We once more call on the federal government to release Nnamdi Kanu, he made mistakes, but he has shown remorse. He should be forgiven. We know what his activities caused in Igbo land, we don’t deny that fact, but he has repented. His release will help the push for total cleansing.
“In the effort to reach out to our people, we have launched our maiden website (WWW.IPOB-PW.ORG). The website will serve as a point of contact with the people that want to join the fight for Biafra through political engagement.
“IPOB-PW is a moving train no one can afford to miss. We are determined to restore peace and present peaceful alternative to attaining independence.
“With our website, we make abide by transparency policy and will publicly engage with our people. We shall also update and keep our people informed toward achieving our mission and keeping to our vision.”
