President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismaila as the Rector and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria.
The appointment was disclosed in a statement issued by his spokesman, Chief Bayo Onanuga.
He said Dr. Ismaila, a seasoned expert in air transportation management, transport economic policy, and aviation security, brings extensive experience to the leadership of Nigeria’s premier aviation training institution.
A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he earned a degree in Physics in 1989 before furthering his expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Transportation.
Over the years, he has attended numerous courses, workshops, and seminars on civil aviation management and transportation.
He is also a distinguished member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (UK) and the Air Transport Research Society, among other professional bodies.
Before his appointment, Dr. Ismaila served as a lecturer at the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, contributing to the academic and professional development of future transport and aviation professionals.
His appointment according to the statement, is expected to strengthen NCAT’s role in training aviation professionals, enhancing Nigeria’s aviation industry, and aligning the institution with global best practices in aviation technology and safety.
