Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has officially arrived in the state to assume his duties.
Ibas landed at the Port-Harcourt International Airport at about 11:25am on Thursday, where he was received by top government officials and security operatives.
Accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16, Ibas proceeded directly to Government House to commence his official responsibilities.
Ibas was conducted around the Government House by some government officials.
He is currently in a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, Federal Government delegation and state government officials.
On Wednesday, he was sworn in by President Bola Tinubu following the suspension of Governor Sim Fubara and his deputy, Dr. Ngozi Odu.
