Ada United Brothers visits Udenu council chairman, proposes partnership for community development

To strengthen grassroots development, the Ada United Brothers Social Club of Nigeria (AUBSCN) recently initiated a visit.

During this visit, they engaged with the Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Aka Eze Aka, to foster collaboration.

This courtesy visit took place at the Council Headquarters in Obollo-Afor.

Furthermore, the delegation, led by AUBSCN National President Dr. Chijioke Nwodo, included prominent members.

Notably, the group featured the immediate past National President, Chief Dr. Frederick Chinedu Onah, as well as former National President Prince Paschal O. Abba and ASP Johnson Ogbonna, Secretary of the Association’s Enugu Branch.

The visit underscored the organization’s commitment to community-driven development and its desire to collaborate with the local administration.

AUBSCN, a 45-year-old socio-cultural organization comprising individuals of Ada Obollo origin both at home and in the diaspora, has long been recognized for its dedication to unity, charity, and developmental initiatives.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Nwodo expressed the group’s appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the local government and outlined their mission.

“We are here to congratulate you on your well-deserved emergence as the Executive Chairman of Udenu LGA,” Dr. Nwodo stated. “Under your leadership and that of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, we have seen promising signs of progress. We are confident in your ability to drive sustainable change.”

Dr. Nwodo emphasized AUBSCN’s readiness to collaborate with the local government in implementing key projects aimed at improving infrastructure and social welfare in Ada Obollo and surrounding communities. He highlighted the group’s ongoing efforts in community development and praised the chairman’s administration for initiating significant projects, including the construction of the 19.8KM Obollo Afor–Umuitodo–Obollo Etiti–Obollo Eke road.

“This road project is a historic milestone that previous administrations could not achieve,” Dr. Nwodo remarked. “We commend your visionary leadership and the tangible progress recorded across Udenu since you assumed office.”

Dr. Nwodo reiterated the organization’s commitment to aligning its grassroots initiatives with the council’s broader development agenda to deliver sustainable impact for the community.

In response, Chairman Aka Eze Aka expressed gratitude for the visit and commended AUBSCN for its dedication to community advancement. He acknowledged the importance of partnerships in achieving lasting development.

“This visit is both encouraging and inspiring,” Aka stated. “It is heartwarming to see distinguished sons of Ada Obollo returning to contribute to their roots. Your association exemplifies true patriotism and responsibility.”

The chairman assured the delegation of the council’s unwavering support for their initiatives. Specifically, he highlighted infrastructure improvements, water supply schemes, and youth empowerment programs.

In particular, he addressed the group’s proposal to reticulate water from the Ebonyi River. Furthermore, he pledged technical support from the local government’s team of experts to ensure its success.

“We are ready to support your initiatives through technical expertise, logistics, and where necessary, funding partnerships,” Aka affirmed. “Development is a shared responsibility, and we are committed to working together for the betterment of our people.”

He urged AUBSCN to continue its tradition of unity and progress while promising an open-door policy for community-based organizations dedicated to people-centered development.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with both sides reaffirming their commitment to collaborative governance and community empowerment. The visit highlighted a shared vision for sustainable development in Udenu Local Government Area and beyond.
