
The Federal Government has released another N243 billion to the 36 states as repayment on over-deductions of the 1995 Paris Club loans.
See below the second tranche of the Paris –London club refund released by the federal Government.
President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN], Godwin Emefiele, had months earlier promised to release the funds to states to ease their financial burden.
Last year, the federal government paid out N388 billion out of the N522.74 billion.
In the last release, Delta State got the highest allocation at over N27.6 billion while the Federal Capital Territory got the lowest share with just N1.3 billion.
