The Inter-Party Advisory Council [IPAC] has fixed October 3 and 4 for the debate amongst the candidates in the Anambra State gubernatorial election coming up on November 18, 2017.
According to the time-table, the debates amongst the deputy governors will come first on October 3, while the governors will have their day on October 4.
The venue for the debate will be Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka, the state capital, time: 1:00pm prompt.
The expected governorship candidates will be:
1. All progressives Grand Alliance [APGA]: The incumbent governor, Willie Obiano of the Ozo Victor Oye faction on the one part and Chief Hygers Igwebuike of the Chief Martin Agbaso faction on the other side.
2. Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]: Mr Oseloka Obaze
3. All Progressives Congress [APC]: Mr Tony Nwoye
4. Action Democratic Party [ADP]: Mr Ifeanyichukwu Okonkwo [Onwa Nnobi]
5. United Progressives Party [UPP]: Mr Osita Chidoka
6. Progressive Peoples Alliance [PPA]: Mr Godwin Ezeemo
7. Democratic People’s Congress [DPC]: Mr Yul Edochie, et al.
