A Magistrate Court in Aba, Abia State, has remanded 14 suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] in prison for various charges ranging from arson to murder.
The suspects were arraigned before the presiding Magistrate, Ogbonna Adiele on an 8 count charge of murder of ASP Cyril Nwosu.
According to charges read by the presiding Magistrate, they also allegedly burnt the Ariaria Police station and police exhibit vehicles.
They also stole pump action rifle belonging to the Police, according to the court.
The IPOB members were arrested by police after clashing with soldiers during Operation Python Dance.
The suspects are as follows:

2. Chima Chukwumere
3. Kingsley Sunday
4. Michael Onyediakchi
5. Eze Okereke
6. Christian Sylvester
7. Etim Effiong
8. Emmanuel Onwukwe
9. Ndubuisis Ukoha
10. Ogbonna Nwaji
11. Salvation Stephen
12. Chizoba Nwosu
13. Ejike Elom
14. kelechi Anusie
The Magistrate directed the Police to submit the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution [DPP], and adjourned the case to October 4 for report on compliance.
